    Waste

    What is it

    The TARI (Waste Tax) funds waste collection, transportation, and disposal services within the municipal area. Its basis is the ownership or possession of premises and uncovered areas which, by use and purpose, are capable of producing municipal waste.
    The TARI is used to finance the costs of the entire waste treatment cycle, charging them to the users of the properties.

    There are two ways to determine the amount due:

    • the standard method, which is divided into a fixed portion (based on the number of occupants) and a variable portion (in relation to the area expressed in square meters)
    • the correlative method, which is based on the actual quantity of waste produced.
      The rates are approved annually by the relevant Local Authority based on the Financial Plan, drawn up with the Service Manager according to the criteria established by ARERA (Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment), while the deadlines and amounts due are communicated with a specific payment notice issued by the Municipality or the Manager.
      There are concessions provided both by national regulations and municipal rules; for this reason, reference is made to reading the Regulations approved by Local Authorities.

    ABACO is responsible, depending on the contract with the Municipality/Authority, for the assessment, collection, and recovery of credits related to the TARI.

    How to

    If you have received an assessment notice related to a Municipality managed by ABACO that contains the user code and control code, you can directly request an installment plan or a review of the notice online.
    For notices without the user code and control code, we invite you to consult the documentation related to your Municipality on this page.

    Pay online

    Through the Pay Online service you can:
    - Make the payment of a Notice you have received
    - Make a spontaneous payment
    - Generate a Payment Notice
    - Print a receipt for a payment already made.

    View your records and documents

    Access the reserved area of the Taxpayer Portal to view your records.

    Update your personal data

    Access the reserved area of the Taxpayer Portal to update your contact phone number or email.

    Request for cancellation/correction of received TARI notice

    You can request the cancellation or correction of the notice you received by sending us a justified request.

    Installment a payment

    It is possible to request monthly instalment payments for one or more documents that contain items from the same Authority.
    It is not possible to pay in instalments amounts of less than €100.
    If necessary, additional documentation will be requested in order to grant the instalment plan.

    Once your instalment request has been successfully verified, you will receive an email from the Taxpayer Portal with a link to download the Instalment Plan.

    Report

    Fill in the online form to submit reports. Once the form is completed, you will receive an email from the Taxpayer Portal containing a link where you can view the responses and communicate with us for further details.
