Notifications at your fingertips
With SEND – Digital Notification Service (also known as the Digital Notification Platform pursuant to Art. 26 of Decree-Law 76/2020 as amended) you can instantly receive legally valid communications from a public body. You can view, manage, and pay them directly online on the platform or via the IO app.
Never miss a notification again
Notifications are legally valid communications officially issued by a public administration, such as outcomes of administrative procedures or refunds, fines, and tax assessment notices. From today, you can receive and consult them digitally by accessing SEND – Digital Notification Service online via SPID or CIE or directly through the IO app.
You can also pay any applicable fees thanks to the integration with pagoPA, view the history of received notifications and manage them entirely online. In addition, you simply need to accept a delegation to also access notifications for your family members.
Choose how to receive notifications
To send you legally valid communications, SEND prioritises your digital contact details. At any time, you may access the Digital Notification Service online with SPID or CIE to indicate or update your legal contact (PEC) or your courtesy contacts (IO app, email and/or mobile phone number).
If you do not indicate any contact or do not access the notification through SEND via channels other than PEC within the specified timeframe, you will continue to receive notifications via registered mail.
PEC
If you have indicated a PEC address, notifications will be legally delivered, without the need for paper registered mail.
The delivery receipt sent to you will contain the link to access the documents on SEND.
IO App
If you activate the SEND – Digital Notifications service, for each notification you will receive a message on IO to consult the documents and pay any fees directly in the app.
If you do not have a PEC address but access the notification from the app within 5 days (120 hours) from receipt, it will be considered legally delivered and you will not receive registered mail.
Email and SMS
You can also choose to receive a courtesy alert at your email address or via SMS.
If you do not have a PEC address but access the notification through SEND via the dedicated link within 5 days (120 hours) from receipt of the notification, it will be considered legally delivered and you will not receive registered mail.
How does it work?
Receive the notification
For each notification, SEND verifies whether a PEC is associated with you or indicated by you for sending the delivery receipt.
It also sends a courtesy alert to your other digital contact details (IO app, email and mobile phone number), if you have entered them.
If you have not indicated any digital contact details and do not access the notification online through SEND, you will receive registered mail. In the registered letter you will find both the delivery receipt and the notified documents, unless the address is located in one of the municipalities where a SEND pickup point is active. In that case, you will receive only the delivery receipt and, to view the notified documents, you must access SEND or go to the pickup point (https://notifichedigitali.it/punti-di-ritiro).
Read the contents
From the message received, you can access the platform online to read the notification and download the relevant attached documents. If you activate the service on IO, you can view the content directly in the app: this is equivalent to signing the return receipt of a traditional registered letter and to the immediate completion of the notification.
Pay the fees
If an amount is due, thanks to the integration with pagoPA, you can proceed online via SEND or directly via IO. If you prefer to go to a counter, you must bring the payment form attached to the notification.
You can delegate or be delegated
If you wish, you may delegate other individuals or legal entities to view your notifications online. To do so, access SEND with SPID or CIE and enter the details of the person you want to delegate in the Delegations section.
